Kalvi40 usefulness for Puducherry Government Schools
The scope of this pilot project is to provide experience on Kalvi40 mobile App based on digital teaching/learning and capture feedback of
teachers and students of class 6th, 7th, and 8th to five rural schools in Puducherry Union Territory. Quantitatively 57% of students showed improvement and were able to answer more questions after watching Kalvi40 videos.
MAIN PURPOSE OF KALVI40’S DIGITAL LEARNING
1. Enable teachers with the content of the mobile application thereby improving the effectiveness and productivity of teachers.
2. Provide personalized learning experience for students and enable anytime anywhere learning thereby ensuring that they reach their
full potential to succeed in their career.
Digital learning is any instructional practice that effectively uses technology to strengthen a student’s learning experience. Apart from standardized high-quality instruction and access to a variety of content, the option to access learning anytime and anywhere and the feedback through formative assessment creates a personalized connection with the users which in turn engages them to consume information at their individual pace.
The aim of Kalvi40 is to bridge this gap by providing content in regional languages and create an equal opportunity for those students in government schools who are faced with the challenge of competing with a world that is digitally enabled.
